TicketPa takes bookings for anything you sell by time slot, like tours, classes, workshops and tastings, and for appointments at a free time with your staff, like a lesson or a massage. This article walks you through the setup in order, from creating your account to your first booking.

Create your account

  1. Go to ticketpa.com and select Create your account.
  2. Enter your email address and select Continue with email.
  3. Add your name and a password, then select Create account.
  4. Open the email we send you and select the link in it to confirm your address.

If you see Continue with Google, you can sign up with your Google account instead. Google has already confirmed your email, so there is no confirmation email. See Create an account for the details.

Note: TicketPa is opening to businesses in stages. If the site shows Join the waitlist instead of Create your account, leave your email and we'll tell you when you can sign up.

Set up your business

Once your email is confirmed, TicketPa asks for your business details:

  • Business name: what guests see on your booking page and emails.
  • Short name for your links: your booking page address, like ticketpa.com/book/harbour-kayaks.
  • Country, Timezone (only when your country has more than one) and Currency.
  • Contact email: where guests can reach you.

Select Create business. You become the business's Owner and land on your dashboard. More in Set up your business.

Note: Check the short name, country, timezone and currency before you continue. Only our support team can change them later.

Add where you meet guests

Go to Locations in the sidebar and select Add location. Add a name, and if you like an address, a map link and directions. Guests see them on the booking page and their ticket. An activity can also have no fixed location. See Add and manage locations.

Create your first activity

  1. Go to Activities in the sidebar and select Create activity.
  2. Enter the name, how long it lasts, its location and a short description, then select Create activity. It is saved as a draft, so guests can't see it yet.
  3. On the Pricing tab, select Add price and choose Ticket, Private group or Add-on.
  4. On the Schedule tab, select Add schedule. Pick the days, the start times, the first day and how many places each time slot has. TicketPa creates the time slots for the next 120 days and keeps adding new ones every day. An activity booked at a free time with your staff has a Times tab instead, and needs opening hours on its location or hours for its staff. See Set up appointments.
  5. Select Publish at the top of the activity.

Publishing needs a ticket or private group price that guests can choose and at least one upcoming time slot. An appointment needs staff who run it, and hours for them instead of a time slot. Until then, the activity shows what is missing under Before you can publish. Each step has its own article: Create an activity, Set prices for an activity, Set a schedule for an activity and Publish, unpublish or archive an activity.

Make the booking page yours and share it

  • Go to Booking page to add your logo, an accent colour, a welcome line and your contact details.
  • Go to Share to copy your booking page link, or a Book now button for your website.

See Customise your booking page and Share your booking page.

Choose how guests pay

Guests pay on arrival until you choose otherwise. To take card payments when guests book, the business Owner connects Stripe on the Payments page, then picks how guests pay. See Connect Stripe to take online payments and Choose how guests pay.

Invite your team

Go to Team and settings in the sidebar and select Invite member. Choose Manager for people who run the business with you, or Host for people who only run the day: check-in and guest lists. See Invite team members.

Basic has one login, the Owner's. Standard has 10 and Pro has no limit.

When the first booking comes in

The guest gets a confirmation email with their ticket and its QR code, and a reminder a day before by default. You see the booking under Bookings and in the notifications bell. On the day, use Check-in to scan tickets, or open the time slot's guest list. See Check guests in.
