Connect a Stripe account so guests can pay by card when they book. The money goes straight to your own Stripe account, and Stripe pays it out to your bank.
Before you start
- Only the business Owner can open Payments and connect Stripe.
- Have your business details and bank account ready. Connecting takes about 10 minutes.
- Your business's country must be one where Stripe takes businesses: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Mexico, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom and the United States.
In any other country, the Stripe section says Stripe doesn't take businesses there yet, and guests pay on arrival.
Steps to connect Stripe
- Go to Payments in the sidebar.
- Under Stripe, select Connect Stripe. Stripe's setup opens.
- Follow Stripe's steps. It asks for your business details and a bank account.
- At the end, Stripe sends you back to Payments, with a message saying whether you can take payments yet.
- Once the status says Active, choose how guests pay under How guests pay and select Save. Until you do, guests keep paying on arrival.
If you stop halfway, come back to Payments and select Finish Stripe setup to carry on.
What the Stripe status means
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Setup not finished | Stripe's setup isn't done yet. Select Finish Stripe setup. |
| Active | Guests can pay online. |
| Payments paused | Stripe needs more details from you, or is still checking them. Select Finish Stripe setup. |
| Disconnected | TicketPa's access was removed in Stripe. Guests pay on arrival until you connect again. |
While Stripe still needs something, the page says how many details are missing. The status updates by itself when Stripe tells TicketPa about a change.
Payouts and your Stripe dashboard
Card payments go into your own Stripe account. When the account is active, Payments says whether Stripe pays out to your bank, or asks you to add a bank account in Stripe. You keep full access to your Stripe dashboard. To change your details with Stripe, select Update in Stripe.
Stripe charges its own card fee, and TicketPa keeps a small fee from each online payment. See Online payment fees explained.
