Every ticket has a QR code. Scan it on the Check-in page to open the guest's ticket with your check-in buttons, or type the booking reference when the code won't scan.

Steps to scan a ticket

  1. Go to Check-in in the sidebar.
  2. Select Scan a ticket and allow the camera if your browser asks.
  3. Hold the guest's QR code in the frame. The camera stops and their ticket opens.
  4. In the For the team panel at the top of the ticket, select Check in. For a group, the button says Check in all with the number of guests. To check in only part of the group, select Some of them.
  5. Select Scan the next ticket for the next guest.

To turn the camera off without scanning, select Stop the camera.

Type a booking reference instead

If the code won't scan, type the booking code from the guest's ticket or email in Booking reference and select Find. Spaces and small letters are fine. Only bookings of the business you're working in are found. If nothing matches, the page says so.

The For the team panel

The panel shows the guest's name, how many are in the group, the booking's status, waiver badges and anything still to pay. Depending on the booking, it has:

  • Check in, Check in all or Check in the rest, and Some of them.
  • Take and the amount owed, to record a payment in cash, by card on site or by bank transfer.
  • Undo check-in, to take back a check-in made by mistake.
  • Links to Scan the next ticket, the Guest list and, for owners and managers, Booking details.

Before the booking's day, the panel says Not today and check-in stays closed. For a booking that is cancelled, expired or not confirmed yet, it says its guests can't be checked in.

Note: Your phone's own camera works too. A scanned ticket opens in your browser, and while you're signed in to TicketPa there, it shows the same panel. Guests opening their ticket never see it.
