A no-show is a guest who booked and didn't turn up. Mark them on the guest list once their time slot has started, or let TicketPa mark them when the time slot ends.
Steps to mark a no-show
- Open the time slot's guest list, for example from Today's time slots on the Dashboard.
- Next to the guest, select No-show. The button shows on confirmed bookings once the time slot has started.
The booking's status changes to No-show. To take it back, select Undo no-show, and the booking is confirmed again.
Steps to mark no-shows automatically
- Go to On the day in the sidebar. Owners and managers can change this setting.
- Under No-shows, tick Mark no-shows automatically.
- Select Save settings.
When a time slot ends, TicketPa marks its confirmed guests who weren't checked in as no-shows, within a few minutes. The booking's timeline shows Marked as a no-show, done by TicketPa.
It only does this on time slots where your team checked in at least one guest, so a day you didn't use check-in is left alone. It is off by default, and only marks time slots that end after you turn it on.
Appointments booked at a free time with your staff are marked the same way once they end, on days your team checked in at least one guest.
Note: A guest checked in with only part of their group counts as checked in, so they are never marked as a no-show.
When a guest arrives late
Select Check in next to their name on the guest list, or scan their ticket. The check-in replaces the no-show, whether you or TicketPa marked it. See Check guests in.
What a no-show changes
- The places stay taken, and nothing is refunded. Anything still to pay stays on the booking.
- The guest doesn't get a review request.
- Reports count no-shows, so you can see how many guests didn't come.
