Guests book on your booking page in a few steps, without creating an account. Here is what they see, from picking a time to the ticket they show when they arrive. They see it all in their own language when it's one of yours, and can switch at the top of the page. See Booking page languages.

What guests see first

Your booking page shows your logo or name, your welcome text and every published activity with its photo, how long it lasts and its price.

Each activity has its own page with its photos and the booking box. It also shows About, What's included, What to bring and Where to go with Open the map when you filled them in, and Cancellation, your cancellation policy in plain words.

Steps guests follow

  1. Date and time: they pick a date, then a start time. A time with 5 places or fewer left shows how many are left. For an activity booked at a free time with your staff, they see every free start time, and when you let guests choose who they book with, they first pick a person or Anyone available under Who would you like?. See Set up appointments.
  2. They choose how many of each ticket and any add-ons. If the activity also has a private group price, they can tick Book it just for your group instead.
  3. They select Continue.
  4. Your details: they enter Your name, Email and Phone, which are all needed. Anything we should know? is optional, and you see it on the booking as a note from the guest.
  5. They select Confirm booking, or Continue to payment when they pay online.

Guests only see times they can still book online. Your cut-off, how far ahead guests can book, closed dates, group sizes and free places all count. When guests must pay online, booking also closes 32 minutes before the start, so there's time to pay. See Set booking rules and a cancellation policy.

Paying on the day or online

How guests pay depends on what you chose in Choose how guests pay. With Guests choose, they see How would you like to pay? with Pay now by card and Pay on the day.

When you pass TicketPa's fee on to guests, the booking box says so from the start, and paying by card adds a Booking fee line to their summary and total. See Online payment fees explained.

  • Paying on the day, or nothing to pay: the booking is confirmed at once. Guests land on their ticket with "You're booked!" and get their ticket by email.
  • Paying online: their places are held while they pay. The payment page shows Stripe's card form and a countdown under "Your places are held". Once they've paid, they're back on their ticket, confirmed, and the ticket email follows.

If the payment page can't be opened, guests see "We couldn't open the payment page. Please try again in a moment." and their places go straight back on sale, so trying again makes a new booking.

If they leave without paying, their ticket shows "Finish paying to keep your places" with a button to pay. Halfway through, they get one reminder email. When the time runs out, the booking expires and its places go back on sale. By default, places are held for 30 minutes. Only our support team can change that.

The ticket

Every booking has a ticket page, linked from the guest's emails. It shows:

  • the booking code and a QR code to show when they arrive
  • the date, time and where to go, with the map
  • what to bring and what they booked, with what's paid or still to pay
  • the waiver to sign, when the activity has one
  • Change of plans?, where they can move or cancel the booking

Note: Guests don't sign in anywhere. The ticket link in their emails is how they get back to their booking, and anyone with that link can open it. See How guests cancel or move a booking.
