To take bookings from Instagram, Google and WhatsApp, put one booking link everywhere guests already find you: in your Instagram bio and stories, on your Google Business Profile as a booking link, and in your WhatsApp Business profile and saved replies. Guests tap it, see live availability and book in a few taps, instead of messaging you and waiting for an answer.
This guide shows exactly where the link goes on each platform, replies you can copy for the questions guests ask most, and how to keep it working. It is written for tours, classes, workshops and other activities that sell time slots.
Why one booking link beats booking by message
Taking bookings by message feels personal, but it costs you in three ways. Every booking takes several messages, so guests wait and some book elsewhere. You keep the diary in your head or a spreadsheet, so double bookings happen. And nobody has paid, so no-shows hurt.
A booking link fixes all three. Guests see only the times with places left, choose their tickets and book on their own, at any hour. Your calendar updates by itself, payment can be taken when they book, and they get a ticket and a reminder automatically. You still answer messages, but the answer becomes the link.
Get your booking link
Your booking software gives you a link to your booking page. In TicketPa, the Share page has two kinds:
- Your booking page link shows every activity guests can book. Use it in your bios and profiles.
- One activity links go straight to one activity's calendar. Use them in posts, stories and adverts about that activity.
Keep both somewhere you can paste them from quickly, such as a note on your phone.
How to add your booking link to Instagram
In your bio
- Open your profile and tap Edit profile.
- Tap Links, then Add external link.
- Paste your booking page link, give it a title such as "Book a tour", and save.
Then end your bio with a short call to action, such as "Book below" or "Pick your date at the link".
In your stories
Add a link sticker to a story and paste a link to the activity in it. Stories about a specific date or a last few places work well with a link straight to that activity. Save your best booking stories to a highlight called "Book", so the link stays on your profile.
In your posts and replies
Links in post captions aren't clickable on Instagram, so write "Book at the link in our bio" instead. When guests ask about availability in comments or direct messages, reply with the activity's link, which is clickable in direct messages.
How to add your booking link to Google
Your Google Business Profile appears when people search your name or look for activities on Google Maps. Google lets many businesses add a booking link, depending on the business category.
On Google Search:
- Search for your business while signed in, to open your Business Profile.
- Select Booking.
- Select Add link, paste your booking page link and select Save.
On Google Maps:
- Open your Business Profile and select Edit profile.
- Select Booking, then Add link.
- Paste your booking page link and select Save.
If you have more than one booking link, you can choose a preferred one. Google may review the change before it appears. These steps follow Google's guide to managing business links. Put your website in its own field too, with your booking button at the top of the page.
How to use your booking link on WhatsApp
WhatsApp is where many guests ask "is there space on Saturday?". The WhatsApp Business app has three tools that turn that question into a booking.
Your business profile
Add your booking page link as a website in your business profile, so guests can tap it from your chat.
Quick replies
From the Tools tab, open Quick replies and save a reply with your booking link, with a shortcut such as /book. When a guest asks about availability, type the shortcut and send the link in a second.
Greeting and away messages
From the Tools tab, turn on a Greeting message for guests who write to you for the first time, and an Away message for when you are busy or closed. Put your booking link in both. Guests who message at 11pm can book straight away instead of waiting until morning.
Replies you can copy
Save these as quick replies and change the words in brackets.
When a guest asks if there is space:
Hi! You can see live availability and book here: [link]. Pick your date and time, and your ticket arrives by email straight away.
When a guest asks about prices:
Tickets are [€25 for adults and €12 for children]. You'll see every option and the times with places left here: [link].
When a group asks about a private booking:
We'd love to host you! You can book a private [tour] for your group here: [link]. The whole time slot is yours, and nobody else can join.
When you are closed for the day:
Thanks for your message! We're out on a [tour] right now. You can book any time here: [link], and we'll reply to any questions this evening.
Other places to share your booking link
- Your Facebook page, in the page's button and in posts.
- Your TikTok and YouTube profiles, in the bio or channel links.
- Your email signature, with a short "Book a tour" line.
- Hotels, hostels and holiday rentals near you, as a link to pass to their guests.
- Printed flyers and signs, as a QR code made from your booking link with any QR code generator.
For your own website, see how to add a booking button to your website.
Keep your booking link working
- Use the same link everywhere. If you change booking software, you only have to update a handful of places.
- Check it on your phone once a month, from your Instagram bio and your Google profile.
- Keep your availability up to date, so guests never tap through to a calendar that is out of date. Close dates you can't run, and add extra times when demand is high.
How TicketPa helps
TicketPa gives every business a booking page with a link to share, plus a link for each activity, on the Share page. Guests see live availability in your currency, book in a few taps on their phone with no app or account, pay online or on arrival, and get a QR ticket and a reminder. Reports show which bookings came from your booking page, which your team added and which were walk-ins. See every feature, or how it works for tours and tastings.
