# Publish, unpublish or archive an activity

Updated 2026-10-14 by the TicketPa team. Source: https://ticketpa.com/help/publish-an-activity

A new activity is a draft that guests can't see. Publish it to put it on your booking page, unpublish it to take it off for a while, or archive it when you stop selling it.

## The three statuses

The status shows next to the activity's name above its tabs, and on its card in **Activities**.

| Status | Guests | Your team |
| ------------- | --------------------------------------- | ------------------------ |
| **Draft** | Can't see or book it | Can add bookings to it |
| **Published** | See it on your booking page and book it | Can add bookings to it |
| **Archived** | Can't see or book it | Can't add bookings to it |

## Before you can publish

An activity needs two things before it can go live:

- A **Ticket** or **Private group** price with **Guests can choose it** ticked. An add-on alone isn't enough.
- At least one upcoming time slot that is open for bookings. It can come from a schedule, or be a one-off time slot you added in the calendar.

An activity booked at a free time with your staff needs someone who runs it and hours instead of time slots. See [Set up appointments](https://ticketpa.com/help/set-up-appointments).

Until then, **Publish** is greyed out and the activity lists what is missing under **Before you can publish**. See [Set prices for an activity](https://ticketpa.com/help/set-prices) and [Set a schedule for an activity](https://ticketpa.com/help/set-a-schedule). Photos, a waiver and resources are optional, and the policies start with default values, like free cancellation until 24 hours before.

## Steps to publish an activity

1. Go to **Activities** in the sidebar and open the draft.
2. Select **Publish** at the top.

It is live straight away. Select **Open activity page** to see it as guests do, then share its link. See [Share your booking page](https://ticketpa.com/help/share-your-booking-page).

## Unpublish an activity

Select **Unpublish** at the top. The activity becomes a draft again: guests can no longer see or book it, and its link stops working. Bookings already made stay as they are, and so do its time slots, so you can publish it again at any time.

## Archive or restore an activity

Select **Archive** at the top when you stop selling an activity, then **Archive activity** to confirm. **Keep selling it** leaves it as it is.

- Guests can't see or book it, and your team can't add bookings or walk-ins to it.
- Its upcoming time slots that nobody booked go, except ones you added or changed by hand. Booked time slots stay with their bookings, so you can still run them.
- It moves to the end of your **Activities** list, and its bookings stay in your reports.

To sell it again, select **Restore**. It comes back as a draft and its schedules create time slots again. Check it over, then publish it.

> **Note:** You can't delete an activity. Archive it instead, so its past bookings and reports stay complete.
