# Create an account

You can create a TicketPa account with your email address and a password, or with your Google account when that option shows. One account can run your own business and join others you're invited to.

## Steps to create an account

1. Go to [ticketpa.com](https://ticketpa.com/) and select **Create your account** at the top of the page.
2. Enter your **Email address** and select **Continue with email**.
3. The next page shows "Signing up as" with your email. If it has a typo, select **Change**.
4. Enter your **Name**, a **Password** and the same password again in **Confirm password**.
5. Select **Create account**.
6. Open the email we send you and select the link in it to confirm your address. See [Confirm your email address](https://ticketpa.com/help/verify-your-email).

Once your email is confirmed, TicketPa asks for your business details. See [Set up your business](https://ticketpa.com/help/set-up-your-business).

Creating an account means you agree to the Terms of service, including the Data processing agreement, and confirm you've read the Privacy policy. The links are under the **Create account** button.

> **Note:** TicketPa is opening to businesses in stages. If the site shows **Join the waitlist** instead of **Create your account**, leave your email and we'll tell you when you can sign up.

## Choose a strong password

Your password needs at least 12 characters, with upper and lower case letters, a number and a symbol. TicketPa also turns down passwords that have appeared in known data leaks.

If you see **Continue with Google** under the email field, you can sign up with Google instead and skip the password. See [Sign in with Google](https://ticketpa.com/help/sign-in-with-google).

## If someone invited you

If a business invited you to its team, select **Log in** in the invitation email, then **Sign up** on the log in page. Sign up with the email address the invitation went to, as it only works for that address. Once your email is confirmed, select **Join** next to the business instead of setting up your own.

## Frequently asked questions

### What if there is already an account with my email?

TicketPa says "There is already an account with this email. Log in instead." Each email address can have one account, so log in with it, or reset its password if you've forgotten it.

### Can I use TicketPa in my language?

The sign-up and log in pages, and the emails that confirm your address or reset your password, come in the languages of the TicketPa website. The dashboard is in English.
